10 search warrants served in seven communities in narcotics investigation led by Longmont police

Police officers and SWAT teams from at least seven area law enforcement jurisdictions served search warrants Sunday in connection with a Longmont police narcotics investigation.

The Longmont Police Special Enforcement Unit has led an investigation into narcotics cases for several weeks, according to Cmdr. Joel Post.

Police officers and SWAT teams served 10 search warrants on Sunday in Longmont, Mead, Fort Lupton, Evans and unincorporated Boulder and Weld counties, according to Post.

Arrests were made, and there were no injuries reported at any of the locations, according to Post.

He did not provide the number of arrests or names of those arrested on Sunday. He also did not provide information on the type of narcotics or any other details about the investigation.
