Man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot following fight in Memorial Park

Suspect not in custody but police say the public is not in danger

A man is recovering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound after a fight at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs Friday just before 7:40 p.m.

The fight moved through the park and multiple shots were fired, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department. The shooting suspect is not in custody at this time but police said there is no danger to the public.

An officer saw a person matching the suspect description in an apartment on East Moreno Avenue near South Corona Street. When other officers arrived, they could not locate any suspects.
