Gunshots were fired Tuesday afternoon in Arvada during a home eviction.
The incident happened in the 5900 block of Garrison Street, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Shots were fired at a deputy, the sheriff’s office said, and the deputy returned fire. The deputy was not hit or injured.
The man being evicted, who fired at the deputy, barricaded himself inside the home. The man was taken into custody a short time later.
