A fourth defendant has been charged in connection with a robbery and fatal shooting in a 7-Eleven store parking lot.

Davon Houston, 24, is charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated robbery in the July 9 death of Justin Slyter, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

Slyter was shot in the 500 block of East Colfax Avenue as he fought men in an , which had just been stolen, back, police said.

Charges were filed against Houston on Oct. 5 and he was arrested on Tuesday Oct. 10, a DA’s office news release said.

Co-defendants, David Houston and Keondre Neblett, are also charged with first-degree murder and robbery. Rushawn Wharton is charged with first-degree murder, robbery and assault.

The four are accused of participating in a sequence of events — a beating, robbery and shooting — leading to Slyter’s death.

Davon Houston’s first court appearance has not yet been scheduled.
