1 killed in Larimer County crash involving SUVs, truck, motorcycle

Preliminary investigation indicates that the four vehicles collided in the intersection about 3:35 p.m. Tuesday

Three cars and a motorcycle were involved in a crash at the intersection of U.S. 287 and Larimer County Road 8 in Berthoud on Tuesday afternoon.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Tuesday fatal crash on U.S. 287 and West Larimer County Road 8 in Berthoud.

Police shut down U.S. 287 between Larimer County roads 17 and 4 following the crash. County Road 8 was also shut down between U.S. 287 and Berthoud Parkway, according to the sheriff’s office. Larimer County dispatch said the roads reopened around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

LCSO spokesman David Moore said that a woman has been confirmed dead following the crash. He said two people were taken to hospitals, but he did not have any information regarding the extent of their injuries and whether the woman was one of the two.

The crash involved two SUVs, a truck and a motorcycle, and preliminary investigation indicates that the four vehicles collided in the intersection about 3:35 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office.
