On Monday, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts revealed the production calendar for its 2018/19 Broadway and Cabaret season.
The DCPA’s high-profile Broadway series accounts for eight of the season’s 18-show schedule. It kicks off in September with the tour launch of “Dear Evan Hansen,” which won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Musical and a Grammy for Best Musical Album this year.
The series will bring “Hello, Dolly!,” the winner of the 2017 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, to the Buell Theater in early 2019. Broadway legend Betty Buckley will star in the production. (Bette Midler starred in the musical’s Broadway run in New York City last year.)
