State Senate Bill 51, which was voted down in committee this week, would have banned bump stocks in Colorado.Re: “Colorado bump stock ban is rejected by Republicans in a party-line vote,” March 19 news story.
The Denver Post reported that a common-sense bill to ban bump stocks failed to pass out of a Republican-controlled state Senate committee. However, The Post failed to name all of the senators who killed this bill. The Republican senators who voted against a bump-stock ban are Owen Hill, Vicki Marble and Jerry Sonnenberg. This is important information for all Colorado voters who are in favor of reasonable regulation of these deadly devices.
