A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 in Jefferson County has shut down the eastbound lanes of the highway.

The crash, at about 5:55 p.m. near the West Colfax Avenue interchange, involved several vehicles, including two trucks, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

Eleven vehicles were involved, said Trooper Josh Lewis, a CSP spokesman. Two people, a 36-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, were both taken to St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood with minor injuries.
Traffic was rerouted off the highway. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office assisted the state patrol with the incident. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
