Foggy weather conditions at Denver International Airport are causing delays for both arriving and departing flights, authorities say.

About 45 outgoing flights have been delayed for more than an hour because of the fog, said Emily Williams, DIA spokeswoman.

“Oh my gosh. It’s pretty thick. I can’t see the air field from where I’m at,” said Williams, whose office normally has a clear line of sight to the runways.

Williams said an unknown number of incoming flights have also been delayed.

She cautioned people who are driving out to the airport to be extra cautious on Pena Boulevard.

People are urged to check with their airline or look online at http://FlyDenver.com for status.

For the latest flight information, check with the airlines.
