A 59-year-old Lone Tree man has been has been sentenced to 76 years in prison for securities fraud.
Kelly James Schnorenberg was found guilty by a Douglas County jury in October on 25 counts totaling $16 million, according to the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.
Schnorenberg, twice sued by the Colorado Division of Securities from 1999 to 2005, bilked 240 investors, the Department of Regulatory Agencies said.
Douglas County District Senior Judge Paul King ordered the sentence in December after evaluating the evidence presented at a four-week jury trial and after examining written victim impact statements from more than 90 victims defrauded by Schnorenberg, the department said.
