A driver and a Greeley police officer were taken to a hospital after a vehicle hit a patrol car early Sunday morning, police said.

On Sunday around 1:40 a.m., an officer with the Greeley Police Department pulled over another vehicle for a routine traffic stop along the 1700 block of Reservoir Road. The officer’s patrol car was struck by another vehicle that was headed eastbound on Reservoir Road, police said.

That vehicle rolled over during the crash.

The driver of that vehicle and the officer were taken to a hospital. While police did not release information on their injuries, both are in stable condition.

Police are reminding drivers to move over if they see an officer or flashing lights on the side of the road.
