A car fire on Interstate 25 just north of Monument had traffic backed up Wednesday afternoon as the incident caused lane closures.
All lanes of southbound I-25, just north of mile marker 163 (just north of Monument) closed due to car fire.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in a 3:38 p.m. Tweet that all southbound lanes had closed because of the fire. A short time later the Colorado Department of Transportation said only the right lane was closed.
The highway reopened at about 4 p.m., according to CDOT.
