Pine Creek easily handled Mesa Ridge by a score of 49-14 on Thursday, Oct. 17.
Gavin Herberg led Pine Creek’s passing attack with 282 yards through the air. Herberg’s most relied on target in the ballgame was Zachary Barnes, who caught two passes for 88 yards. Eddie Kyle contributed in the passing game as well, reeling in one ball for 67 yards. Pine Creek also got 61 yards receiving and one touchdown from Spencer Peterson in the contest.
David “dm3” moore iii paced the Pine Creek rushing game by running for 183 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 15.2 yards per carry.
Kyle Gaster led Mesa Ridge’s passing attack with 208 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown without an interception. Gaster also added 32 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Mesa Ridge’s leading receiver was Andres Esquivel, who caught five passes for 73 yards and one score. Dillon Campos got involved in the passing game as well, reeling in five passes for 50 yards.
Mesa Ridge’s rushing attack was lead by Gaster who tallied 32 yards and one touchdown in the game.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Pine Creek hosting Palmer and Mesa Ridge taking on Vista Ridge.
