Coloradans, prepare for a volatile weather swing.
Temperatures in Denver are expected to reach 70 degrees Saturday, but heavy snow is on its way for the Front Range and the mountains, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Sunny and warm conditions will give way to blustery cold by Saturday night, and a winter weather front could bring up to 18 inches in the mountains and foothills and 8 inches in Denver.
The storm is expected to continue through Monday morning, leading to rough driving conditions to start the work week.
Low temperatures on Sunday and Monday will hover under 20 degrees, forecasters said.
Winter Storm Watches remain in effect for Sunday into Monday.
