Colorado corrections officer arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting 14-year-old

Fountain police believe there may be more victims in the case

A 31-year-old Colorado Department of Corrections officer was arrested Friday in Fountain in connection with a sexual assault on a 14-year-old.

Fountain police said Khurtis Maasch of Colorado Springs was arrested on five felony charges: two counts of sexual assault on a child and three counts of internet luring of a child. He was being held in the El Paso County jail.

Fountain police said they started investigating a report Dec. 20 that a 14-year-old had been sexually assaulted. The police believe there might be other victims.
