Denver weather: Mild holiday weekend gives way to a chance for snow Tuesday night

The weekend and the Monday holiday, Washington’s Birthday, should be partly sunny to mostly sunny in Denver, with a chance of snow back in the forecast on Tuesday night.

On Saturday skies over the city will be partly sunny and the high temperature will climb to about 57 degrees, according to the . On Saturday night skies will partly cloudy and the low will be near 28 degrees.

Snow is expected in the northern mountains late tonight with winds gusting up to 60 mph, the weather service said. Wintry and hazardous driving conditions through daybreak.

In Denver on Sunday and Monday, skies will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 54 and 57 degrees respectively. Overnight low will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

Tuesday in Denver skies will be partly sunny and the high will be about 60 degrees, the weather service said. There’s a chance of rain before midnight, then a chance of a rain and snow mix through 3 a.m., before giving way to snow into the daylight hours.

Snow is in Denver’s forecast on Wednesday, skies will be mostly cloudy and the high temp will be about 37 degrees. Snow could last until about 11 p.m. and the overnight low temperature will be near 2 degrees.
