Southbound I-25 reopens in Douglas County after crash

Crash, vehicle fire shut down highway near Larkspur on Tuesday, CDOT says

Southbound Interstate 25 was closed Tuesday near Larkspur in Douglas County because of a crash, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

CDOT officials reported the crash and a vehicle fire at 10:41 a.m. and between Exit 172 for Upper Lake Gulch Road and Exit 167 for Greenland, near Larkspur. Traffic cameras showed southbound traffic backed up more than 2 miles at 11:30 a.m.

One lane reopened at noon, and the rest of the lanes had reopened by Wednesday morning, according to CDOT.
