Erica Hunzinger
Erica was a member of The Denver Post's politics team, and oversees and edits its coverage. She is approaching 15 years in the journalism business, handling a broad range of topics as an editor, but with an emphasis on politics and government for several years. She most recently was an editor for two public radio regional journalism collaboratives and two public radio stations. Erica also spent five years on a regional editing desk for The Associated Press in Chicago, as well as stints as an assistant news editor at The News Journal in Wilmington, Delaware, and a sports copy editor at The News & Observer in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Erica is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia and the University of Chicago. Her work has been recognized by PMJA/PRNDI, Hearken, RTDNA and the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. She is a member of the Society of Environmental Journalists, and for years has helped judge the ACES: The Society for Editing headline contest.
