AAron Ontiveroz has been a staff photographer at The Denver Post since 2010. Ontiveroz specializes in sports and portraiture. His work has been recognized by various organizations including the Emmy Awards, the NPPA's Best of Photojournalism, Colorado Photographer of the Year. He was a member of Denver Post staff that was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Coverage in 2013 for the Aurora Theater Shooting. Ontiveroz joined the Post in 2010. Before that he worked as a photographer at the Wyoming Tribune Eagle. He is a native of Wyoming and attended Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming and the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
