Raised on the Great Lakes, Beth Rankin has a photojournalism degree from Kent State University and a career that spans breaking news, travel, food, music, public radio and digital strategy in Ohio, Texas and Colorado.
She previously worked as the Dallas Observer's food editor; a reporter and digital strategist at the Beaumont Enterprise, where she launched and edited Cat5 magazine; host and producer of The Local Scene on 91.3 KVLU; photographer at the Lima News; and metro reporter at the Akron Beacon Journal. Rankin became director of audience at The Post after a stint as entertainment editor and editor of
The Know.
An avid farmers market enthusiast and community gardener, she loves safe streets, regional foodways, rescue animals, local news, Colorado trails and is a member of the Denver Press Club, Online News Association and NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists.
