The Denver Gorilla Run organization is proud to announce a record breaking year after smashing the Guinness World Record with 1,061 'most people dressed as gorillas in one location'. The winners of the 5.6K charity fun run was Ann Flynn (29:00) and Mark Lucas (22:00). Alex Becht was the first biker to cross the finish line. Wynkoop Brewing Company is the proud start/finish line sponsor which put out a fabulous food spread for all participants post race. Frank Keesling, VP of the Mountain Gorilla Organization and race director of the Denver Gorilla Run, is ecstatic about surpassing the 1,000 goal of registrants with 27 different visiting states. 'This is a fundraising and awareness event and we got both on Halloween Day' claims Keesling. The paved route and delightful sunny, 60 degree day was a picture perfect day for running in a Gorilla Suit! Participants got into the Halloween spirit and flaunted some creative attire for their gorilla suits. Their was lots of fun in downtown Denver and the Wynkoop Brewing Company on this fine Halloween Day!
