Hidden away in a secluded mountainous high desert region just 5 minutes from their base location at Royal Gorge Rafting is a new world class course of Royal Gorge Zip Line tours. The Colorado Zip line tour is made up of artfully crafted platforms and unique natural terrain launches and landings. There are 9 zip lines with the longest being 1000 feet long and riders can reach speeds of up to 50 mph! The company called Colorado Zip Line Tours is located at the Royal Gorge Plateau just outside of Canon City, Colorado. The company called Royal Gorge Zip Line tours opened for the first time Friday April 29, 2011. The company has 9 zip lines, spanning over a mile of exhilarating adventure with over a half mile of beautiful, informative & scenic hikes. A tour costs $89.00 per person and lasts about 3 hours. The company also offers a full day package that includes whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River, lunch and the zipline tour at a cost of $139.00. Trips depart every 30 minutes with 8 guests per departure. Participants will need to weigh between 90 to 250 lbs and must be at least 10 years old.
