Mistrial called in Neveah Gallegos murder case after testimony strayed

Angel Ray Montoya ---- On September 21, 2007, Angel Ray Montoya, 1/18/1985, was arrested at E. 13th Ave. & Lincoln St. for investigation of Murder in the First Degree in relation to the suspicious disappearance of Niveah Gallegos, 8/1/2004. This investigation began as a reported kidnapping and quickly became a search for the missing child believed to be the victim of foul play. The mother of Neveah, Miriam Gallegos, 4/25/1987, is being held in the Denver City Jail for investigation of accessory to murder. Investigators determined that the body of the child might have been placed into a large plastic bag, and then disposed of somewhere in the Capitol Hill area. Neveah is described as a Caucasian female, approximately 40 pounds in weight, and 3脮6脫 in height, with brown hair and eyes. Neveah may have been wearing a red, long sleeved shirt, with a white elephant on the front, and red sweat pants. The Denver Police Department continues the investigation and search for the missing three-year-old.
