He will then put it in front of their radiometer to help the team get calibrations. This work, they are hoping, will help them be able to record the heights of our planet's oceans. He works under the tutelage of Professor Steven C. Reising. Colorado State University in Fort Collins believes that they are in the top 5 state schools now for research dollars excluding medical schools. One of the more interesting projects these dollars is funding it the research and development of an airborne radiometer, which is being funded by the department of defense and NASA. The radiometer will be an earth observation satellite that will measure surface water levels around the globe. Helen H. Richardson, The Denver Post
