Kyle Newman
Kyle Newman is a sportswriter for The Denver Post, a position he’s held since 2016. He is a beat reporter covering the Colorado Rockies in addition to covering other professional, college and high school athletics around the state. He is a member of the Baseball Writers' Association of America and the Football Writers Association of America.
Prior to arriving at The Post, he ran two high school sports start-ups, the Colorado Sports Network in Denver and The Fan Varsity Sports Network in Indiana. A Denver native, he has won local and national awards, including the 2025 Colorado Sportswriter of the Year presented by the National Sports Media Association. He is a 2012 graduate of the Arizona State University Cronkite School.
