National Western Stock Show & Rodeo planners are proposing a 10,000-seat stadium with 40 suites, a 5,000-seat events center, a 750-seat auction arena and a 500-seat stockyard arena at the proposed Aurora complex. They are envisioning a year-round venue for country-music stars, sporting events and other attractions that would have trouble filling the 20,000-seat Pepsi Center.

The National Western Stock Show and Rodeo could relocate from its present location north of downtown Denver to a site next to a proposed $824 million entertainment and hotel complex in Aurora. The stock show's lease runs until 2040, so it needs Denver's consent to move.
