Lupton Colorado, a retired microbiologist, was originally diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer and refused radiation and chemo treatments in October 2011 after being told by doctors that the treatment would only extend her life by a few months. Maud later found out that she did not have Multiple Myeloma, but was then diagnosed with spinal stenosis and also has Alzheimer's. Mrs. Sandoval has spent over 21-months in hospice care and will be relocated to another hospice facility due to budget constraints.
