A proud Kansas City native and University of Missouri grad, he previously worked for the Colorado Springs Gazette, the Casper Star-Tribune and the Omaha World-Herald. Longtime Colorado first lady Bea Romer, a passionate advocate for early childhood education and services, died Sunday in Denver after a long illness, her family said Tuesday. She was 93.
