Senior Dustin Braeger has carried a 4.0 grade- point average throughout his years at Glenwood Springs High School.
This year, Dustin and a teammate earned second place at the state Distributive Education Clubs of America conference in the travel tourism division.
As a result, he is representing Colorado at DECA’s International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, Calif., this month.
In his junior year, Dustin earned First Team Academic All-State honors in football, basketball and track, and this year in football. During his sophomore and junior years, he competed at the state track meet in the 800-meter relay.
He also is involved in National Honor Society, El Pomar Youth in Community Service, school choir and his church youth group.
He has a role in the school musical this spring.
Dustin plans to go to the University of Colorado at Boulder, the Colorado School of Mines or Pepperdine University in California to study pre-medicine.
