This Saturday and Sunday is “The Biggest Weekend.” That’s what the disc golfers call it, anyway. Every May since 1992, thousands of disc-tossing golfers rally at disc golf parks across the globe for an international party celebrating their chain-ringing, disc-flinging ways. Denver’s disc golf party takes place in Sanchez Park, just north of Invesco Field at Mile High at West 13th Avenue and Knox Court. This is Denver’s first 18-hole disc golf course. Core disc flingers will be there with one goal: introducing as many new people to the thrills of disc golf. The event is free, and top players will be offering clinics with loaner discs for all levels of disc-hurling golfers. There are nine certified disc golf courses in metro Denver, and all are free.
