Pitt, Jolie caught on beach
A picture is worth a thousand words, they say.
And Us Weekly magazine photos have caught Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie cavorting on an African beach with Jolie’s toddler son, Maddox. The magazine reportedly paid close to $1 million for the U.S. rights to two dozen photos of the couple to appear in its next issue. The London Sun bought the European rights and published pictures in Friday’s editions.
Elton John will marry his partner David Furnish some time this year or in 2006, his publicist said. The singer told the Mirror tabloid he and Furnish wanted to hold a civil-partnership ceremony in Windsor, near London, in mid-December. John’s publicist Gary Farrow told Reuters “it may be by Christmas and it may be next year.”
“Will & Grace” will be back for an eighth and possibly final season on NBC after the show’s ensemble cast signed new deals, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Contrary to early speculation that the actors faced pay cuts, sources said Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally all earned significant raises in the one-year deals.
Elizabeth Hurley has put her movie career on hold to concentrate on her 3-year-old son, Damian. Hurley told the New York Post, “I don’t want to leave my son for such long periods of time.”
Hurley is promoting her new swimwear line and dating Indian millionaire Arun Nayar.
Aidan Quinn pleaded guilty to a drunken-driving charge in Augusta, Maine, and was ordered to pay a $500 fine. His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days. Quinn was arrested by Waterville police on Oct. 25, 2003 where he was filming “Empire Falls,” which will air on HBO May 28-29.
Sean Penn told Now magazine if he and Madonna had “stayed together, we’d have driven each other mad.”
The couple, married less than four years, had a stormy marriage that ended in divorce in 1989. “I don’t really know who could have lived with me at the time,” Penn admitted.
Both are happily remarried, Madonna to British director Guy Richie. Penn will celebrate his ninth wedding anniversary with actress Robin Wright this month.
Denmark Crown Prince Frederik and his Australian-born wife, Princess Mary, are expecting their first child in October, Hello! magazine’s website reported. Frederik, 35, and Mary, 32, wed last May.
