The Avalanche signed a one-year agreement to partially affiliate itself with the Lowell (Mass.) Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League.
As part of the agreement, the Avs and Carolina Hurricanes will supply their top prospects to Lowell.
In March, the Avs ended their affiliation with the Hershey Bears. Hershey agreed Tuesday to a deal with the Washington Capitals.
