“Fire on the Mountain” and “The Madwoman”

THEATER|The final two productions of the Denver Center Theatre Company’s 26th season – and artistic director Donovan Marley’s 21-year tenure – come to an end. “Fire” is an earnest musical tribute to Appalachian coal miners; “The Madwoman” is an update of Jean Giraudoux’s 1942 French political satire “The Madwoman of Chaillot.” The latter stars dozens of DCTC veterans in cameo roles, which makes the production a sweet and fitting farewell for Marley.|ENDS SATURDAY|Final performances 8 tonight and Saturday and the Space and Stage theaters, 14th and Curtis streets. Tickets $38-$45 (303-893-4100, www.denvercenter.org, King Soopers stores or TicketsWest, 866-464-2626).
