Independence Pass bike ride

To celebrate the seasonal opening of Independence Pass, bike riders may participate in the annual Ride for the Pass on May 21. The Colorado Department of Transportation opens the pass a week early for cyclists to ride without automobiles. The cost is $30 for individuals and $60 for families. Estes Park tramway is turning 50

Estes Park Aerial Tramway celebrates 50 years of operation with a summer-long celebration beginning with opening day on May 21, followed on Aug. 8-14 with a golden anniversary celebration. Tickets are $9 for adults, $8 for riders over age 60 and $4 for children 6-11; children under 5 ride free with a parent.
