Out and about: We spent a week in Kenya before traveling to Sudan for a three-week Christian/humanitarian trip. We traveled to four game parks and saw every kind of wild animal imaginable. The scenery was breathtaking, the safari lodges were first-class, and the food – WOW! – gourmet buffets three meals a day! It is safe in Kenya (especially in the wildlife parks), and the prices are reasonable.
Travel tip: Go with a Kenyan travel agency. Jet Travel Ltd. ( , a respected agency in Nairobi, treated us like royalty. We had a kind,English-speaking driver, and a clean, comfortable van. Make sure to take clothes for both warm and cooler climates (it slips to 50 degrees in the evenings), and a digital camera with powerful zoom capabilities.
