Out and about: Here we are in the ancient city of Ephesus. We felt like we were back in Roman times. The city is still being excavated and is the best-preserved in the eastern Mediterranean. It is well worth the trip just to see the ruins of something built B.C. They say this is the final resting place of the Virgin Mary and St. John.
Travel tip: We hired a driver in Kusadasi for the short drive to Ephesus. Do not wear slippery shoes because there are marble walkways.
