An index of Colorado stocks declined for the week, paced by Western Gas Resources Inc., Forest Oil Corp. and MDC Holdings Inc.
The Bloomberg Colorado Index, a price-weighted list of companies based in the state, dropped 7.56 points last week, or 2.8 percent, to 258.91. Stocks that fell outnumbered those that gained 69 to 34, with two unchanged.
So far this year, the index has dropped 7.2 percent.
