Colorado stocks had their biggest weekly gain since May 2004, led by MDC Holdings Inc., Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc. and Whiting Petroleum Corp.
The Bloomberg Colorado Index, a price-weighted list of companies based in the state, rose 9.51, or 3.7 percent, to 268.42 last week.
Stocks that gained outnumbered those that declined 74 to 29, with one stock unchanged.
The index has lost 3.8 percent this year.
