Getting your player ready...

Telluride’s famous Mountainfilm festival – now in its 27th year – kicks off Friday and runs through Monday. This year, the festival secured some grant money and is offering a special program for middle school and high school students. The Rendezvous Program offers students the opportunity to meet privately with filmmakers, athletes, artists, poets and environmental activists following select films. Students will have two meetings on both Saturday and Sunday to visit with players from both sides of the camera. The local high school has opened its climbing gym for students to spend the night and Telluride’s town park will be open for camping. Best of all, student passes for the festival cost only $50. Adults can pay six times that. Registration for students is required.
