Who: Kim, Jake, Laurie and Megan Haarberg (and Dixie), Littleton
Where: Hellroaring Rim Trail, Moab
Out and about: For spring break we headed to Moab during the Easter Jeep Safari. We managed to escape the crowds by camping 20 miles from town. We have spent fall and spring breaks in the Moab area for the past three years. It’s a great time of year to go there – we have experienced warm, sunny days to snow-covered canyons. While we are there we enjoy hiking, dirt biking and exploring the various 4-wheel-drive trails with our jeep.
Travel tip: There are so many different activities you can experience while visiting southern Utah, especially the Moab area. With miles and miles of different trails you’ll need a good map, lots of water and the necessities if you were to get lost. The trails are well marked for the various levels of difficulty; just make sure you don’t tackle something too hard the first time. And if you fear heights, avoid the rim trails!
