State artists

ART|Colorado long has had a rich, vital art scene. “The Juggler”

OPERA|Last summer, Central City Opera presented an inspiring, deeply moving production of Jules Massenet’s little-known 1900 work, “The Juggler.” The antithesis of grand opera, it is a compact, wonderfully simple work that fully embraces the qualities espoused in the story – “candid virtue and holy humility.” The production will be broadcast statewide as part of Colorado Spotlight.|7 tonight|

“Noteworthy”

CHORAL CONCERT|Guest artist Sheila Tallmon performs solo and with the Denver Women’s Chorus during “Noteworthy Women,” which celebrates the chorus’ 20th season. AIR SHOW|The USAF Thunderbirds perform in their F-16s at the Front Range Air and Space Day. Buckin’ season starts

RODEO|The annual Elizabeth Stampede features three Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeos, amateur contests and a Radical Bull competition. Young take spotlight

ORCHESTRAL PROGRAM|David Rutherford and the Musica Sacra Orchestra will kick up their heels in a musical roundup of sorts.
