7 p.m. “Tony Awards”
People you’ve never heard of getting awards for plays you’ll never see. CBS.
7 p.m. “Greatest American”
Viewers vote on the 100 greatest Americans. We’re putting our money on
Ben Franklin and Thomas Edison to make the list. We’re less confident
about Morey Amsterdam and Justin Timberlake. Discovery Channel.
9 p.m. “Oil Storm”
U.S. oil supplies are disrupted and the populace panics as gas prices
soar out of sight. This is fiction but keep in mind you’re only a $6
gallon of gas away from a condo conversion on your SUV. (2005) FX.
6 p.m. “Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course”
In his feature film debut, Steve Irwin races to save a crocodile from
the CIA. We don’t know why the CIA would be interested in another
crocodile. If they need a large cold-blooded reptile, they can
always recruit John Bolton. (2002) Animal Planet.
9 p.m. “What Hollywood Taught Us about Sex”
Film clips recall the influence of TV and movies on sexual beliefs and
attitudes, much of it is misleading. It turns out that women in prison
almost never have pillow fights. E! Entertainment.
