Gary and Alex Kephart of Eisenhower Golf Club lapped the field Sunday and captured the 2005 CGA Father/Son Team Championship at Fox Acres Country Club by eight strokes.
The Kepharts’ first round of 7-under-par 64 was impressive considering the modified scotch format. But even more impressive was their final-round 68, using a true scotch (alternate shot) format that gave them a two-day total of 10-under 132.
Russell and Chris Roehrkasse of Colorado Springs Country Club finished in second place at 2-under 140, edging Rick DeWitt and son Tony by one shot.
