of the events around the state this Independence Day:
Westfest, today-Sunday: Craig Morgan, Dan Seals, Ian Tyson, Waddie Mitchell and Michael Martin Murphey will be performing over the weekend in Snowmass Village. The event includes breakfast trail rides, Western art and clothing vendors, and a rodeo. Single-day passes are $35, and three-day passes are $79. For more information visit westfest.net.
Colorado Rapids, Monday: Fireworks will follow the Rapids game Monday against the Kansas City Wizards. The action begins at 7:30 p.m. at Mile High at Invesco Field. Tickets are $15, $25 and $35. Estes Park, Monday: Festivities include an Arabian horse show, antique car show and jazz music. Admission to the horse show, music and fireworks is free; the car show is $3 for adults and $2 for children. Parking near the lake for fireworks is $5.
Four Mile Historic Park, Monday: A traditional Independence Day celebration will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the Denver Concert Band, the First Colorado Volunteers, Uncle Sam, food and horse-drawn rides; $7, $4 for seniors and students.
