Getting your player ready...

Q: Dear Scott,

I am an intelligent woman in my mid-twenties and I am desperate to get back
into the dating game.

It has been seven years since I have been on a real
date, but my life was so busy that I didn’t really notice. Now I have
settled down and have a stable job and really want to share life with
someone else.

It has been so long, I don’t even know where to start.

I go out with
friends often, but I usually find that they get the attention from the guys
while I’m stuck watching from the sidelines. I’m not very good at flirting,
and feel foolish when I do.

Honestly, I’m just looking to date right now, I
don’t want a serious relationship. Help!

SCOTT: It’s okay to be desperate, but it’s not okay to act desperate. Get it?

You’re
right in the early stages of dating and obviously uncomfortable with it all
(who could blame you?) But it’s not that difficult, really.

Overt flirting
can be disastrous, so forget about that and stick with subtle things like
getting that deer in the headlights look off your face and not folding your
arms (there should probably be a drink in one of those hands anyway). Throw
on a pair of jeans, cute pink v-neck t-shirt and a pair of sexy heels and go
out and have a good time with the girls.

Take a few casual glances around
the room and remember: body language is everything!

If you see someone
appealing, casually smile and be open to meeting him. Just be yourself and
let your guard down a bit. The rest will happen naturally and you’ll have
yourself a hot sexy date in no time.

See? Easy.
