Out and About: We took the 45-minute trip ferry from Lahaina to Kaumalapau Harbor. On the trip to Lana’i, humpback whales, the beautiful views of Lana’i, Molokai, and Maui entertained us. Spinner dolphins upon reaching the Kaumalapau Harbor greeted us. We had a short trip to The Challenge at Manele. With its dramatic terrain of plunging gorges and verdant ravines, The Challenge offers a thrilling target-style game amid miles of unspoiled natural surroundings. Every hole offers sweeping ocean views, and several require precision shots from cliff to cliff using the Pacific itself as a water hazard.
Travel tip: Bring your camera and binoculars. Consider purchasing a guest package for three nights and your choice of one adventure per person, per day.
