Who: Rebekah Whitfield and Kevin Mills of Lakewood, CO.

Out and about: This year’s ski trip was to Vigo Di Fassa, Italy. A group of about 30 friends enjoyed wonderful weather and great skiing in the Dolomites of northern Italy. The group stayed in the 4 star Sport Hotel Corona, home of world famous skier Tomba. The food and wine was delightful and the service was world class. The Valley supports 7 ski resorts offering views of the marvelous Dolomites mountain range. This picture was taken in the town of Moena that sponsors the most famous Italian cross country ski race, the Marcialonga. Shopping and lunch were the order of the day in a delightful Italian town which emanates a Tyrolean flavor.

Travel tips: If you don’t like red wine go home. Low carb diet not available. Great news-Italy is non smoking in all areas-good for all the people who prefer clean, fresh air. Most of the terrain is intermediate but the most challenging event is the Sella Ronda’ (ski all around) 40 miles of skiing from one resort to another. (guide recommended).
