“Wicked” is Broadway’s darling. It opened late in 2003 and continues to be the top-grossing show. The Tony-winning musical tells the story of how two mismatched friends in the Land of Oz grow up to be the Wicked Witch of the West (Stephanie J. Block) and Glinda the Good Witch (Kendra Kassebaum). It runs from Sept. 16-Oct. 2 at the Buell Theater. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Sunday ($30-$75, TicketsWest).

Destiny’s Child has launched what members Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams say is the trio’s farewell tour. The first part of the tour’s name comes from the trio’s hit album. The “Destiny Fulfilled … And Lovin’ It Tour” comes to the Pepsi Center on Aug. 23. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($41- $71, Ticketmaster).

Dwight Yoakam just released a new album, “Blame the Vain,” that has landed him back on the country charts. To keep it there, Yoakam is taking his hybrid honky-tonk- Bakersfield sound on the road. He performs on Aug. 10 at the Paramount Theatre. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today ($30- $45, Ticketmaster).

Brooks & Dunn just won’t rest on their laurels. The two have sold more records than any other country duo in history. And they are second only to Simon & Garfunkel in overall duo sales. Yet, Brooks & Dunn are back on the road, stirring up more album sales. They visit the Pepsi Center on Oct. 7. What could be country’s next top duo, the red-hot Big & Rich, opens. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($39-$69, Ticketmaster).

Jesse McCartney hopes his “Beautiful Soul” album will put to rest any doubts about his claim to adult pop stardom, leaving behind his days in the kids group Sugar Beats and the boy band Dream Street. He brings his “grown-up” sound to the Universal Lending Pavilion on Aug. 16. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($30-$35, Ticketmaster).
