Who: Peter and Teresa Lanthorn with their daughter Alison of Littleton, CO.

Where: Outside the Prado Art Museum, Madrid, Spain.

Out and About: Peter and Teresa Lanthorn traveled to Spain in March to visit their daughter, Alison, who is a Spanish Language and Literature graduate student at the Saint Louis University campus in Madrid, and she took them on a guided tour of the city with the first stop at Spain’s famous art museum, The Prado.

Travel Tip: Madrid has an excellent and extensive public transportation system. A trip anywhere on the subway (Metro) system costs about 70 cents (U.S.) if you buy the 10-trip pass which can also be used at that same rate for the buses. There are also affordable and comfortable trains that travel frequently to nearby cities such as Toledo and Segovia, and you can easily go to the train stations or to the airport by Metro. The best tip, however, is to have a family member for guide if you can!!!!
