Where: Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada
Out and About: Melissa and Pam were part of a team of educators who traveled on a Fulbright Scholarship to Baffin Island to study the culture and government. We spent 3 days talking with the Inuits and attending seminars. We also learned about the bi-lingual education system in Canada. The group traveled 15,000 miles over the summer.
Travel Tip: On Baffin Island accommodations are limited, as are the flights into Iqaluit. Plan ahead and take plenty of warm clothes. Summer days are 18-20 hours long.
